About Me

Hello! My name is Amanda, I am a Family Nurse Practitioner (meaning I primarily work in the primary care outpatient setting); my job looks like working as a provider you’d see for your annual physical, sick visit, and I also work as an urgent care capacity. To obtain this, I went to school for my Masters in Nursing with an emphasis in Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP)

I am going to school for an additional “certificate” that will be attached to my masters to work in the acute care setting as an Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP). Meaning instead of working outpatient, I will work inpatient in the hospital (hopefully in critical care)! Because I already have my masters, my certificate program is an additional two semesters in which I complete didactic (lecture) work as well as clinical hours. I will sit for an exam making me board certified and I will be able to work in primary care or acute care.

I spent 7 years working as a bedside nurse in hospitals with 5 years in critical care and 2 years on cardiac care unit.

In my personal life, I have two amazing dogs, I love visiting National Parks, scuba diving, reading, and knitting.
